NAMING - Name a governed value for its readers

What this page is

This is generated FPF reference text from the specification preface or supporting sections. It helps interpret FPF; it is not FPF Reference product documentation.

Methodology

Use it to understand how the specification wants to be read, then return to a route, pattern, or work packet for active work. Cite generated IDs only when the wording changes the task decision.

Content

  • Situation and question. An exact already-governed object or value needs a stable Tech or Plain label under an effective by-value reference scheme and local sense. Ask: which name lets readers recover that object without changing its kind, scope, or direct owner?
  • Optional obstacle. Candidate labels carry conflicting senses, hidden kinds, or misleading morphology.
  • Template A. F.18 Solution -> C.2.1 NameCard episteme. First recover the exact thing or value being named and its direct governing pattern. Then constitute one NameCard whose complete claim graph records the effective by-value reference scheme, exact local sense and intended use, selected Tech and Plain designations, the smallest candidate set covering the live head-term families and plausible neighbouring objects, rejected candidates and selection reason, lineage, and the smallest condition that reopens this settlement. Completeness is recoverable naming content, not a field count.
  • Boundaries. Stop with the local NameCard when no public-row use is current; no public row is implied. When public, Core-facing, durable-across-context, or cross-context reuse becomes current, apply the F.17 entry/result gate to the exact governed value, card, scheme, sense, and any actual F.9 Bridge. pending means that gate has not returned the row; current requires the exact returned row. E.24.PUB separately governs making that exact row-episteme edition available to a declared audience through a publication form and carrier. Return when the governed value, scheme, local sense, intended use, candidate evidence, actual Bridge, or reader error changes. A label, NameCard, row, Bridge, or publication occurrence neither creates the governed value or kind nor makes a relation obtain.
  • Public coarsening. "Naming card" restores to NameCard.
